Donating in Andy's memory

Created by Jo 14 years ago
Update on fundraising totals: with the cheques, cash and online donations I already know about, over £740 has been raised. This figure is going to go up further. Thank you for your patience about the Trees For Life memorial grove, I expect it to be online within the next few days (written on 27th Jan). ______ If you would like to make a donation in memory of Andy, perhaps instead of flowers, we have two suggestions. The first is Cransley Hospice, where Andy received enormously kind and expert care which made a big difference to the way he lived and died in the final stages of his illness. You can send a cheque to Cransley, or go to the appeal page I have created on www.justgiving.com/andymegan. (Sorry this is not a link, you have to just paste the address into your browser.) The second suggestion is that you might like to donate to Trees for Life, whose mission it is to restore the Caledonian Forest. Andy had previously made donations to this cause, which tied in well with his passion for native trees and wildlife habitat, as well as carbon absorption. I will be creating a memorial grove in Andy's memory on the Trees For Life website. This will be available from approximately 27th January. In the meantime, you can simply donate online on the Trees For Life website (www.treesforlife.org.uk), and just put 'In memory of Andy Megan' in the Further Information section of the form. Alternatively, you could send them a cheque, to Trees for Life, The Park, Findhorn Bay, Forres IV36 3TZ, Scotland. Cash and cheque donations were also collected at the funeral. We don't have a total yet, but will post it here soon. Thank you so much.
