Andrew in the Helicopter. In 1976 Andrew, then aged about 8, came to visit his Aunty Jean, his mother's sister, at RAF Abingdon. His Uncle John arranged for him to visit a helicopter and sit in the pilot's seat. When he returned to Corby the following week he told all his mates that he had sat in the helicopter. Kids being kids they responded with " You're a big liar, Andrew Megan". This upset our Andy. A few days later our photos came back from the processors. There was no digital stuff then. A copy was sent to Andrew and he was able to show it to his friends and regain his street cred.
