I met Andy when he moved to Desborough and lived next door to me. I was touched by his warmth and humanity - nothing was too much trouble for him. There were so many times he touched my life and each time he made a difference, I wonder how many of us can say that? He was a man of intelligence, integrity and principles, but did not teach. You could not help but learn from Andy how to be a better person. Later, as he became ill, he was so courageous, dignified and positive. I will miss him greatly.
